THEODOSIA HIERONYMUS

One of my The Hunger Games OC's! I got back into it a little while ago, but here ya go.

(couldn't find much clothing options that i felt worked, so now she just looks like a blonde hair blue eyed katniss lmao. accidental. might put in a drawing soon)

Name: Theodosia Hieronymus
Age: 15 (66th Hunger Games) 23 (as of The 74th Hunger Games) 24 (catching fire, mockingjay)
Gender: Cis Female, uses she/her pronouns
Sexuality: Pansexual
Likes: walking around, black coffee, strategy games, mathematics
Dislikes: loud noises, watching the games, thinking too much insecurities & mental issues: very low self esteem, trust issues, general ptsd from the games, hates how manipulative she can be
Fun Fact: I imagine that if she were in the Percy Jackson universe, she would either be a child of Hephaestus, Dionysus, or Apate. Maybe Athena but that's just going off looks

Theodosia is a victor from District 12, one of the younger ones. She won the 66th Hunger Games when she was 15, about to turn 16 by the time the games were over. She didn't have much skills under her belt, besides the fact that she's a healer, very speedy, and knew a decent amount of mechanics from her late father. So there's a clear question in the room: how did she win?

The answer is her smarts.

Theo is generally a happy girl. Not too naive, but not too distrustful either. The kind of person you can't help but like, no matter how much you want to hate her. Girl next door stereotype. That kind of charisma gave her an in with the Career group, as well as a decent amount of sponsors, which she used to her advantage. She was the supply guard, and you can imagine what kind of free time that gave her. Eventually she betrayed them, building little discreet traps using what she could find and what she was gifted. Any small capitol traps she found from the Gamemakers, she dismantled and put back together. She dug up the mines from the Cornucopia and placed them around the supplies, for "extra protection". Once the Careers figured out that Theodosia was betraying them, she literally just dipped and activated them from a somewhat safe distance away, getting slammed into a tree side first. That knockback gave her major hip and neck issues, but from there since she took out a big group, all she had to do was outlast the others. The traps she saved from the explosion proved handy for that.

The 66th Hunger Games left Theodosia distraught with herself. These other district members who had been in the games, they were all people. Children. And she lied to them. It was so easy too! They died, and she didn't even feel a thing. But there was no way in hell she was going to let anyone see that. So she kept up that happy, kind, facade- because who knows when they could be watching. And if the whole world did find out, what would that mean for her? It's only at night when she feels that comfort, all alone, no one awake to hear her sobs. She's almost nocturnal- it makes sense to define it like that, she doesn't even feel human during the day. More machine-like. In the back of her mind, she knows she has to live, and she's trying her goddamn best.

relationships

The Everdeens - Since she was about 12, Theo hung around Mrs. Everdeens apocathery- whether that was because she had gotten into a rather nasty scuffle with some other kids, or to help out with another injured person. She got along with Katniss and Prim, both before and after her victory in the 66th Hunger Games. Theo tried to help out the best she could when Katniss and Gale's fathers died, sneaking them little treats and whatnot from her "victory allowance", as she called it. She was genuinely saddened when the girls had to part, still aching a little bit after her own younger sister, Callisto died in the 69th Hunger Games. She considers Katniss a smart kid, and finds her blunt, defiant point of view refreshing compared to all the people she's met before.

Haymitch Abernathy - From mentor to mentee, and then to just mentors, these two have gone through a lot. Theo's always been kind to Haymitch, and he's returned the favor in his own way. He's one of the few people that she trusts, and he feels a similar way. They kind of have a sun/moon dynamic, or at least that's how the Capitol presents them. For Theodosia, the few weeks after her victory was one of the hardest points in her life, and Haymitch helped her get through that. Not friends, not found family, but aqquaintances- who each can rely on eachother.
